BodyMods is hiring a Professional Body piercer

We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Body Piercer to join our team and contribute to the success of the studio. In this role, you’ll perform precise piercings, offer expert aftercare guidance, and ensure exceptional customer experiences from start to finish. You’ll also assist with sales, help maintain a clean and sanitary environment, and collaborate with the team to achieve studio goals. Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Skills  

• Perform precise piercings in accordance with industry standards and customer requests.  
• Use various piercing techniques, and maintain a strong understanding of anatomy.  
• Provide accurate aftercare instructions to clients, ensuring successful healing with minimal complications.  

Customer Service  

• Achieve high Customer Satisfaction Scores (CSAT) by delivering friendly, personalized service.  
• Foster customer loyalty by creating positive experiences.  
• Conduct thorough consultations to understand client needs and provide clear, informative guidance about procedures.  
• Resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally and effectively.

Marketing  

• Regularly provide photos/videos to the Marketing department to promote services and products.  

Hygiene and Safety  

• Adhere to sterilization and hygiene protocols to prevent infections and ensure customer safety.  
• Consistently use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves, masks, and aprons.  
• Maintain a clean and sanitary piercing environment at all times.

Product Knowledge  

• Stay informed about different jewelry materials, sizes, and styles, ensuring suitability for various piercings.  
• Keep up to date with current trends and techniques in the body piercing industry.  

Professional Development  

• Participate in workshops, seminars, or training to enhance skills related to body piercing.  
• Maintain relevant certifications, ensuring credentials are up to date.  
• Attend biweekly piercer meetings to stay updated on sales and promotions, new piercing techniques, and ongoing customer service training.

Operational Efficiency  

• Efficiently manage and schedule appointments to minimize client wait times and avoid overbooking.

Revenue Generation  

• Contribute to overall studio revenue by performing piercings and upselling jewelry or aftercare products.  

Team and Store Contribution  

• Collaborate effectively with other staff members to foster a positive team environment.  
• Contribute to the overall presentation and cleanliness of the studio to enhance customer experience.

Required Experience

Piercing Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of professional body piercing experience, with proficiency in a variety of piercing techniques (e.g., ear, nose, tongue).

Customer Service Experience: Prior experience in a customer facing role, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional service and maintaining client satisfaction.

Safety and Sanitation Protocols: Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to sterilization, hygiene, and safety protocols within a professional piercing environment.

Sales and Upselling: Experience assisting with retail sales, including upselling jewelry and aftercare products, while helping to achieve sales targets.

Team Collaboration: Experience working within a team environment, contributing to shared goals and assisting colleagues when needed.

Appointment and Time Management: Proven ability to manage schedules, appointments, and maintain a smooth flow of clients without compromising service quality.

Required Education

Bloodborne Pathogens certificate

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $21 - $25 per hour, based on experience

Incentives

10% of all service sales performed by the piercer
