SETTINGS

Bezel vs Claw - What's your setting?

Bezel setting  is the name for a setting that holds a stone in place with a lip encircling and overlapping its edges. This is the most secure setting. It basically hugs the stone to keep it in place!
Claw setting uses metal prongs to hold the stone on a piece of jewelry. Typically, this is the preferred setting, because it lets in more light. And as we all know - the more light you give a stone, the more it sparkles!
