What's your perfect belly ring?

Belly rings have so many options. You can wear curved barbells , twisters , segment rings , CBRs- and that's just the basics!

When it's time to dress your belly ring up though, we have four styles we know you'll love. Read on to find your perfect belly ring!

Types of Belly Rings

Let's start with the classic belly stud. This can have a jewel, or be plain metal or a colourful plastic.
  • We carry belly rings in 316LVM surgical steel, implant grade titanium, 14k gold, Lucite (a high grade acrylic that won't leech chemicals into your skin), and all our jewels are Austrian crystal, not cubic zirconia. Why's that? CZ will get cloudy over time, but Austrian crystal sparkle forever. We even have PTFE posts for pregnancy and other medical situations where a metal post is a bad idea.
But enough bragging - what makes a stud different from any other curved barbell? The beads. The top bead will be smaller than the bottom one in a belly stud. Traditionally, the top bead is 5mm with an 8mm bottom bead. Keep in mind that while this is traditional, it's not an absolute rule and exceptions exist.
  • If you pick a stud with a jewel, the jewel will be front-facing. A traditional curved barbell will have the jewels at the top of the bead, so it's not very visible on the bottom bead.
We also have a HUGE selection of belly dangles . They're curved barbells with jewels or charms dangling from the bottom bead - hence the name. They're 14g (the industry standard for a navel piercing), and come in a variety of designs. You'll find chains, hearts, filigree, jewels, and so much more on our dangles.
  •   BodyMods also carries a collection of licensed dangles. To name a few, we've got Playboy, NHL, CFL, Betty Boop, Hello Kitty, Smurfs, Angry Birds, and Guess.
Next up, we have inverted belly. Again, they're curved barbells, but they go into the piercing the opposite way of a typical belly ring. Inverted is the technical term for "you put this style in upside down." They come in dangles, with the charm hanging from the top bead, or shields that cover your belly button. If you have an inverse navel piercing (also called an anti-navel), these should be your go-to! They'll sit better than a traditional belly dangle.

Finally, Fancy Navel is the name BodyMods uses to describe our line of belly studs that go beyond the standard barbell. Fancy navels don't dangle- instead, the bottom bead is a claw-set jewel, genuine opal, or a cute charm. Our Fancy line is available in curved barbells and twisters. And that's it! What's your perfect belly ring?
