Exchange Policy

General Policy

Due to the hygienic nature of our products, all sales are final. However, we gladly offer exchanges for defective items within 3 months of purchase, provided you have the original receipt. Thank you for understanding!


How Does the Exchange Policy Work?

We offer exchanges on defective items purchased both online and in-store within 3 months of purchase. For online purchases only, we also allow exchanges for items that may not meet your expectations. We understand that shopping online is different from seeing a product in person!

Examples include:

  • A belly ring with a shorter dangle than expected.
  • A labret with a stone that’s a slightly different shade of blue.

To qualify for an exchange:

  • The product must be in its original packaging with the heat seal unbroken. Unfortunately, we cannot accept opened items due to hygiene reasons.
  • Exchanges will be made for the same piece if it’s in stock. If not, we’ll substitute it with an item of your choice of equal value.

To request an exchange, email a photo of the jewelry, your name, and order number to info@bodymods.ca. All exchange requests must be submitted within 30 days of your order’s shipping date. Our team will respond within 24–48 hours.


Important Notes

  • Manufacturing Defects Only: We can’t exchange items ordered in the wrong size, color, or style.
    Examples:

    • Guessing the wrong size plugs for a friend.
    • Choosing a blue opal but deciding pink is cuter later.
      Please refer to our sizing guide or visit a local BodyMods store for assistance before purchasing.
  • If you believe you were sent the wrong item, email us at info@bodymods.ca, and we’ll resolve it within 24–48 hours.


How to Exchange Your Order

  1. Email orders@bodymods.ca with the following details:
    • A photo of your jewelry.
    • Your name.
    • Date of order.
    • Order number.
    • Reason for the exchange.
  2. Our team will guide you on the next steps, including where to ship the item.

Note:

  • Customers are responsible for shipping costs when sending items for exchange.
  • We cannot send replacement items until we receive the original product.
  • BodyMods is not liable for lost shipments, whether sent to or from us.

How Long Does an Exchange Take?

Depending on the shipping distance, exchanges may take up to 3 weeks within North America.


Why Can’t I Open the Seal?

To ensure we provide only the highest quality products, we cannot accept opened items due to hygiene reasons. Your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities!
