District Manager

BodyMods is hiring a District Manager

BodyMods is Canada’s largest body jewellery retailer, proudly Canadian‑owned and operated since 2002. With locations across multiple provinces and continued national expansion ahead, we’re entering the most exciting chapter in our history.

Over the next several years, we’ll be opening new studios across Canada—and we’re looking for an experienced retail leader to help build that future.

This isn’t a traditional District Manager role where you inherit a mature district. You’ll join us during a high‑growth period, helping open new studios, develop future leaders, and build a high‑performing district from the ground up.

If you’re energized by developing people, opening new locations, and making a lasting impact on a growing company, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

You’ll begin by supporting existing operations while leading new store openings throughout your assigned region. As BodyMods continues to expand, your district and responsibilities will grow alongside it.

Working closely with our Regional Director and Executive Leadership Team, you’ll ensure operational excellence while developing the next generation of BodyMods leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Multi‑unit leadership: Lead multiple retail locations across your assigned region.
  • Talent development: Recruit, hire, train, and develop Store Managers and leadership teams.
  • Coaching & performance: Conduct one‑on‑ones, performance reviews, and in‑store coaching.
  • Operational oversight: Monitor KPIs, labour, sales performance, and brand standards.
  • Action planning: Build strategies to improve performance and achieve company goals.
  • Store visits & audits: Complete regular store visits, operational audits, and performance evaluations.
  • New store openings: Support hiring, onboarding, merchandising, and operational readiness.
  • Culture building: Foster a positive, accountable, high‑performance environment.
  • Partnership management: Build strong relationships with shopping centre management and local partners.
  • Travel: Travel regularly throughout your assigned region.

What We’re Looking For

  • Multi‑unit retail management experience
  • Proven leadership development
  • Strong coaching, communication, and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities
  • Experience managing KPIs, sales performance, and operational standards
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout your region
  • Valid driver’s licence

Experience in the body modification industry is not required—we’ll teach you our industry. We’re looking for someone who knows how to lead people, build teams, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $70,000–$75,000 annual salary, depending on experience.
  • Quarterly performance bonus.
  • Extended health and dental benefits.
  • Paid vacation.
  • Mileage reimbursement for business travel.
  • Company laptop.
  • Ongoing leadership development and career growth.
  • The opportunity to play a key role in one of Canada's fastest-growing specialty retailers.

Why BodyMods?

At BodyMods, we believe great businesses are built by developing great people. We're committed to promoting from within, investing in leadership development, and creating opportunities for our team to grow alongside the company.
