Studio Artist- Anthony Rose

Hey, I’m Anthony Rose.

I started tattooing in 2021 and joined the BodyMods team in 2026. For me, tattooing began as a form of self-expression and quickly became something much bigger. It turned into a path of constant growth — creatively and personally — and there’s nothing better than seeing my work put a genuine smile on someone’s face and knowing that piece will travel through life with them.

I work in a variety of styles, including Traditional, Neo-Traditional, Black & Grey realism, Dotwork, Blackwork, Illustrative, Script, Chicano, and Anime. The styles I’m most drawn to are Blackwork, Black & Grey, Anime, and Chicano. I love the depth, contrast, and storytelling they allow, and I’m always pushing myself to level up with every tattoo.

Art has always been part of who I am. Before tattooing, I was constantly drawing with pencil or spray painting — it was how I processed my thoughts and emotions. I’m a multidisciplinary artist at heart, and that background still influences the way I approach every design: with intention, effort, and a drive to keep getting better.

Outside of the studio, I’m into animation and 3D modeling, playing billiards, drawing, gaming, and listening to music pretty much 24/7.

Fun fact: I actually hated tattoos when I was a kid. Now I’m a professional tattoo artist — and I’ve even tattooed my own mom. My art journey really kicked off with a bet. Someone once dared me to draw Halo, and even though I didn’t have the skills at the time, I had the determination to prove them wrong. That challenge turned into a lifelong obsession with drawing… and eventually led me to tattooing.

I’m grateful every day that this is what I get to do.
